Lulu

Lulu M. Al-Sabah

Partner

Lulu M Al-Sabah is a founding Partner of JAMM, and is primarily responsible for all charitable and artist talent functions of the business. A Kuwait-based art journalist and former Middle East Director for Phillips de Pury & Company, she conceived and curated an exhibition of Arab & Iranian Modern Masters in collaboration with Saatchi's breakthrough exhibition of Middle Eastern contemporary art. Previously, Lulu worked as a consultant for Christie's International. A frequent contributor to CANVAS, the highly acclaimed magazine dedicated to art and culture in the Middle East, she has also written for the Eastern Art Report, an academic-based art magazine, for which she authored a special issue on ‘Art and Artists in Kuwait’.

Lulu was a panelist at Art Basel 2006 contributing to a discussion on ‘The Future of Art Institutions in the Middle East’, and a speaker at Art Dubai 2008, as well as Art Basel 2008. In 2006 she co-organized an exhibition of paintings by Kuwaiti women artists at the prestigious Institute du Monde Arabe in Paris. Her previous experience includes working at the International Herald Tribune in Paris. She obtained her MA degree from Birkbeck College, University of London.

Lydia

Lydia Limerick

Partner

Lydia Limerick has over the last ten years established a highly respected reputation within the international art world. In her role as founding Partner of JAMM she is primarily focused on building private and corporate collections. As former Head of Christies, Middle East, Lydia was responsible for opening their first office in the region. She was also responsible for introducing Contemporary Arab & Iranian work to the Dubai Auction calendar as an individual category and during her tenure worked on various ground breaking charity projects across the region. Relocating back to the UK in Summer 2006, Lydia continued to consult for Christies for a further year before joining Phillips de Pury & Company as Business Development Director, Middle East.

Prior to discovering her passion for the art world, Lydia's background was in project management & events. She has travelled extensively in the Middle East and North Africa and has a true passion for the region and it arts.

Gazala

Gazala Shaikh

Office Manager / Logistics Co-ordinator

Gazala has over 10 years of experience in shipping & logistics. Prior to joining JAMM, Gazala was Office Manager for Phillips de Pury & Company, Dubai and oversaw all logistical and exhibition details. Notably she co-ordinated the shipping of all lots from the Middle East for Arab & Iranian Modern Masters in collaboration with Saatchi's exhibition of Middle Eastern Contemporary Art. Prior to this position, Gazala was with Freight Systems Co Ltd (LLC) and handled the pre and post shipping and logistics operations of the third, fourth & fifth series of the Christies Auctions in Dubai including and not limited to preparation of the condition reports, bar coding, and cataloguing.

Before entering the international world of art, Gazala's career was as Senior Executive Key Accounts for Agility, India (formerly known as Geo Logistics India Pvt Ltd) where she drew on her experience from DHL and Aramex respectively. Gazala is married, an avid painter and lives in Dubai.
