Our exhibition is inspired by the theory of cultural hybridity as espoused by Professor Homi K. Bhabha in his book The Location of Culture. Hybrid cultures are not the simple intermingling of two parent cultures. Instead, a so-called ‘third space’ of hybridity arises, which gives rise to aspects that are unique to the hybrid.  The artists chosen for this exhibition represent a diverse cultural heritage. The show includes a range of artistic media: photography, design, installation and video.
